Hier gefaellt mir besonders gut das: "nieren ein Tisch." Voll Humor und Erfindung (Idee).
Wenn es zu Englisch/Amerikanischen Idiomen kommtt, sei vorsichtig: Let's make a date (not: let's have a date). In downtown is also incorrect. It should be just "downtown." Let's go downtown, let's meet downtown, my sister lives downtown, I want to go downtown, etc. (The same with uptown.) Try another.
